Right on schedule?

The Lord God almighty has established a path for each an every human being. A path which has a starting and an end. Like the products in a provision store where each one meets a specific need so is man who is not just brought into existence but there is a thought out course that the creator has for each person.That speaks volumes as in no one in the face of the earth is a biological mistake. Believe or not the creator has a blue print of our lives which is supposed to play out in our lifespan.

Just like a traveller, the journey of our lives has a timeline. It has a beginning and the end. We are not in control of the beginning and the end of the same but we are major determinants of what happens to our lives in between this two beacons of our lives.It is therfore incumbent upon us to constantly be in touch with the holder of our blue prints if we are to make sense of our existence.

The questions that we ought to ask ourselves as individuals is; Am I on schedule in the journey of life? How far am in in the execution of my blue print?

Kindly note that there are issues that can ensure a traveller is right on schedule and the opposite is also true. Preparedness, patience,focus and determination are just a few catalysts that ensures timeliness while uneccesary stopovers,unskilled driver,accidents and road blocks can derail or even stop the journey.

For the child of God to accomplish his/her purpose in life, one needs to be focused, determined,courageous,skillfull, prepared and so on and so forth.

Could it be true that many of us have not began the journey yet? Could it also be true that some have stopped on the way? Could also be true that many are lost on the way? Could it be true that many are not interested with the purpose of God in their lives? Could it be true that many have been stolen by the enemy the devil and are now serving his purpose? Could it true that many have rested and died without knowing their purpose in life?

ALL THIS IS PAINFULLY TRUE!

When the prodigal son in the scriptures realised his mistakes and found his way back to his father, from the story we can tell that he made the right decision for his life was not the same again.(Luke 15:11-31)

Some of us might be just like the cripple in at the Beautiful gate proccupied with what others can do for them. It is not until he met the servants of God John and Peter and the word of life was proclaimed over him that his life made an about turn. (Acts 3:1-10)

The heroes of faith in the book of Hebrews chapter 11 were not special in nature indeed the bible says that they had weaknesses just like any of us, but they had the courage and faith to live for the purposes of God.

Today we can ask the Lord to show us the path of life and give us courage, strength, the joy and focus to walk through.

Moses prayed this prayer to God,

“If you are pleased with me,teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you……” Exodus 33:13

Know the Lord

Praise the Lord the Lord brethren. The Lord is good.

One thing that Iam fully convinced about is that God almighty is looking for that person who would dare know Him.

Knowing God is more than having to identify His name as Lord…as the bible say that not everyone who calls Him Lord that shall enter His kingdom but that one who walk in obedience to His word. It has all to do with being reconciled with His character,His will,His intention,His power,His glory, His salvation,His word, His being and so on.

Our ultimate quest as the children of God should be to know the Lord which is a life time exercise.We cannot know God enough but He has provided an opportunity for every one of His children to have a piece of Him….which is enough to engage our being for our entire lives….to an extent that we are able by His grace to serve Him and make Him known.

It is the will of God for us to know Him because then we are able to represent Him effectively in the world of the living. Upon our knowledge of Him our lives will shift from survival mode and become an adventure of faith, victory and triumph.It is a pillar upon which all facets of our lives hang on for it allows Him to manage the various stages of our lifes which could be ministry, business, relationships,parenting and so on. It will spell death to the flesh and bring in live of Christ and so it will be …’Christ in me the hope of glory’. It will position His children as candidates for exploits and influence as it happened with Daniel, Shadrack, Meshak and Abednego.

The end result of the knowledge of our God is assuming the His image which He intended for us right from the beginning.Genesis 1:26-28

Knowing the Lord has a dimension of intimacy as in the case of a husband and wife..and indeed the church is the bride of Christ with Him being the bride groom. And so we await for His second coming with great anticipation so that we can finally consummate our marriage.

“If you really knew me, you would know the father as well. From now you do know Him and seen Him” John 14:7

“Don’t you know me Philip even after I have been among you such a long time?”John 14:9

“You do not want to leave too,do you? Jesus asked the twelve .Simon Peter answered Him ” Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy one of God” John 6:68

“Then they asked Him, Where is your father? You do not know me or my father. Jesus replied, If you knew me you would know my father also” John 8:19

“But what about you,He asked Who do you say Iam?, Simon Peter answered, You are the Christ the son of the living God” Mattew 16:15-18

“Whats more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of Knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them as rubbish that I may gain Christ……I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and to fellowship of sharing in His sufferings becoming like Him in His death” Philippians 3:8,10

DEAR BRETHREN LET IT BE THE YEARNING OF OUR HEARTS TO KNOW THE LORD!

..While men slept..

“Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way” Matthew 13:24-25

Brethren from the scripture above it is apparent that when the people who are called by the name of the Lord are dull in the spirit or rather they spirits are not alive with the Spirit of God or better still..are not fervent in pursuit of God,it is likely that imposters will arise. i.e the sons of the devil as it is the case in our current world. As a business consultant, I would liken this with the market place. When a business is not robust enough to exploit the available space at her disposal, competitors will arise and seek to sieze the opportunity. The competitor may not have what it takes to full fill the needs and wants of the customers but will ultimately be able to capture the attention of customers any way. This parable is acted out in our current world…that indeed the good seeds and the bad seeds are growing together at all levels of in the church i,e. ministers of the gospel,leaders,members of assemblies,workers, businessmen/women and so on.Our ark enemy the devil has managed to plant his seeds among the good seeds and are blosoming at the expense of the real church of Christ….a church that is asleep.If by sleeping the church is giving the devil a free hand to plant evil seeds among the saints, the opposite is also true.; that when we arise and watch, this trend will be reversed and effects and influence of the devil will deminish. Did you know that Samson, one of the judges among the people of Israel was lulled to sleep before Delilah and the Philistines subdued him?

 “She lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him.  And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him” Judges 16:19-20

Spiritual dullness is the curse of the church in this age for it allows the abominable in the house of the Lord and among His people. One of the signs of spiritual dullness is loosing sight as it was the case of Samson whose eyes were gorged out by Philistines{satanic agents} assisted by ‘sister’ Delilah.A church that has lost revelation accepts everything and everyone who seeks the hand of fellowship. At one point God was likening the people of Israel to a run-away wife; a wife who is not faithful and one who freely makes commitments to other suitors and not demanding any pay.

“But you trusted in your own beauty, played the harlot because of your fame, and poured out your harlotry on everyone passing by who would have it” Ezekiel 16:15

May the Lord help you and me to arise from our slumber rest we enter into temptations.

Standing in the gap

“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none” Ezekiel 22:30

Prayer #2 Prayer for the nations

“Father may you course a holy spirit orchestrated sleepless nights across the nations – unable to sleep until your purpose and your plans are accomplished. May there be a divine uneasiness that demand a heavenly interference with the affairs of the nations and tongues. May the heavenly light shine across the nations declaring your purpose and plans to all humanity. May you elect the pillars that regards your word and the wisdom that flows from your very presence. May your kingdom be established in all the earth. In the name of Jesus Christ”. Amen

Prayer #1 Heart of flesh

Oh Lord,create in me a heart of flesh. A heart that is responsive and obedient to your instruction…a heart that delights in your law …a heart that is after your own heart. In Jesus Christ name. Amen

Our God is faithful to do just that as indicated in the scripture below.

“Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh” Ezekiel 11:19
